All the products of that company are way overpriced. I don't care to support any tools so no thanks.

  4. You think thats bad do a search on ebay for muskie lures. You'll see prices over a hundred bucks for gliders.

Man these lure makers are just plain greedy.

  7. Like the saying goes:

Most lures are designed to catch fishermans wallets....not fish

  8. When lures are hand made and not manufactured ther can be quite time consuming. There is a lot of hours, detail, and patience involved in making some of these baits.

The high price of any Tru-tungsten product can be attributed to one factor... tungsten. Material and processing is slightly more expensive, not to mention that they are not all that large of a company yet.

To all that have not felt the difference between tungsten and lead... you're missing out!

Another added benefit that I've found is when you're fishing vegitation and need a pretty good amount of weight to 'punch through' the weeds but don't want to get hung up. Tungsten weights, being MUCH smaller, allow you to use a larger weight in a smaller profile, cutting down on bringing in weeds instead of fish.

Those high prices are primarily due to one thing.

    Profit Margin.

Tungsten weights are the way to go in clearer lakes and is the only thing I use in the river.
Id rather pay $2 more for sinkers and catch more fish.

    did a little research

    lead density =11.34  g·cm−3
    tungsten density = 19.25  g·cm−3

    at room temperature.

    Melting point tungsten =3422C = 6192 F.

While they are more than likely using an alloy, those numbers are still quite impressive. And I could see where having a lower profile could be beneficial in certain conditions/situations.

But their stuff is still way overpriced IMHO.

$69 for a plastic mass produced swimbait?
