I went out Tuesday and didn't see even 1 boat west of Green, Rattlesnake or North Bass.....going out or coming back...not 1. It seems all of the boats (Charters and Head Boats included) are going all the way to the Canadian line, south of Middle Sister. I've gone in that area twice in the last 2 weeks and limited casting, but was shocked there were no boats between Catawba and the Canadian line either time. The first time I went that far (8 days ago), I did look and cast for fish starting West of Green and working my way north all the way beyond West Reef, and I didn't catch much or see many marks.... so I continued Northwest. One would have to believe there are fish in that area though.... and perhaps if the mayflies fade away, the fishing will pick-up. PS: The surface of the lake was coated with carcasses of dead mayflies all the way to the Canadian line on Tuesday.

There's stupid amounts of fish everywhere around Lorain and it sounds like all the way to Huron to the west and Cleveland to the east if you can trail your boat. I usually troll but my neighbor wanted to do a drift and cast trip. We limited in a little over an hour yesterday morning. Most of the fish we kept were around 16 inches with a few around 20. Caught several throwbacks. Golden Nuggets were the ticket if anyone remembers them from the '80s. We did one drift in 33-36 ft. (about a mile and a half from shore).
