Pulled 5 limits of perch today in lorain. Straight out of Beaver, 3/4 mile. just south of the pack that was already there. Marked em, anchored up and never moved. Lots of white bass mixed in. 2 sheep and one lost walleye.

Not too bad for about 3 hours of fishing. Lines in around 1130 and was coming back thru Beaver at 2:20. The last 30 fish took almost an hour the bite went south around 1:30.

Flat lake, good breeze, and fast fishing.....and with 3 erie rookies on the boat ...hope they dont think this happens all the time!

Any one else do any good today?

We were in the same spot a little earlier. Got two limits in about two hours. We didn't even anchor, just drifted. The fish were suspended all over the place, about 15-25 feet down in 32-38 feet of water. We drifted from about a half mile west-northwest of the pack to just southeast of the pack. Dropped the spreaders to the bottom and let them sit about 10 seconds. If a perch didn't follow it down and bite right away, reeled about 4-8 reels off the bottom. Saw the Sara J trolling around and tried trolling harnesses for walleye on the way back to Hot Waters, but just got sheepshead, white perch and white bass.

No real jumbos. But 8" and up were the average. Decent keepers. But there were a few bags of perch at whitewater that were as big as the minnows they were caught on
