300 Yamaha HPDI

Discussion in 'Boats and Motors' started by big bass balls, Feb 20, 2005.

  1. I bought a 203 CX Champion last year with a 300 HPDI. My question is, is this a very sound motor? The boat is awsome, but i am starting to hear some bad things about this motor. But what is funny is that I hear bad things about mercury, evinrude and so on. Do you think that a lot of this hype is just personal preference? Back to my question, If anyone has any input on this motor i would greatly appriciate it Thanks

All I can say is that you bought the top of the line ! :) I have been a die hard Rude fan for years but my next new boat will have a HPDI on the back ! You just cant beat the overall performance or the warranty . There is always the possibility that some thing could go wrong with it , but im sure it will last you forever .

A budddie of mine just got a new Ranger and he insisted the
dealer take off the factory installed Merc and put his 4 year
    old V-max on it.
Personel preference has everything to do with it.
  4. My cousin has the same motor and has had no problems with it. Every motor has their ups and downs, it is basically a personal preference.
