3 days at Piedmont

Discussion in 'Southeast Ohio Fishing Reports' started by chopper, Jul 2, 2004.

  1. Fished hard for three days for bass and found it tough. Tried deep and shallow. did best at the shallow end. Some 12" bass but nothing big. I am having a bad year with top water. Last couple of years its been good for me. What is your favorite top water and what color? I had been doing best on a small white buzz bait. Also have done good on chug bugs. What do you guys like?
  2. Works for most top water fish :p

  3. At Piedmont, I've done the best on pop r's and chug bugs. I generally stick with a shad pattern.
  4. Not necessarily for this lake, but I have been told that these top water original surface crankbaits are the high test. They are expensive($5-$7), because there is still alot of hand-crafting and tuning in the fabrication.
