6 year old caught 2 fish. I literally caught a rock and reeled it to shore....

feiwen, glad to see your son get some fish. But I do have a question for you #1 what type of bait did you use for the rock, #2 did you hook through the lips. #3 did you release unharmed to be caught by another fishermen another day and time:p

Wax worms, thru the top lip, and yes both rock bass caught were released and swam away.

Try an x-rap or a mepps blackflury and big joshy make a dam good swim bait. Now go out there and become the next KVD good luck;)

You can not lose with a pink rooster tail or mepps spinner in the Tangy. Master the inline spinner and 1/8 oz. jig with a grub, and then slowly move into what everyone else posts about fishing for smallies. There are very few lures which are specific to a flow, but I would put pink rooster tails in that category for the Tangy.

I also caught a rock a couple weeks ago. I couldn't figure out why the thing wasn't putting up any kind of fight the whole time I reeled it in.
