I have a kind of dumb question. I have a tracker tx17 with a 25h merc. I know it is an undersize motor for the boat but I was wondering if there was anything I could do short of putting a larger motor on it to get more top end out of it? I only get about 18mph ot of it when I am by myself?????

  2. I can't help you, but I thought I mention we have a 16' Crestliner Canadian with a 25HP Johnson and we achieve about 19 MPH and that's it.

  4. Messing with props could get you into a dangerous RPM range if you go too far either direction. Plus, you’ll never gain too much out of that set up. If you were to gain 2 mph, you’d want another 2 mph after that, as we all would. I vote for trading up.
