I’m looking for a 2/3 weight rod and reel for chasing bluegills and small creek fish.

I have a cheap Bass Pro 4/5 WT and a Cabelas 8 WT. I don’t mind buying something that isn’t “name brand” as long as its reliable and won’t break the bank. I’m open to combos or separate rod/reel. I’d love to keep it under $150 but I could maybe stretch to $200 if o had too.

I have the same Echo rod as garhtr and it is the first rod I want to catch fish with.

I also have a Eagle Claw fiberglass and Cabelas fiberglass that are fun, less expensive and land a dry a bit more delicately, but neither of the fiberglass rods feel right when I'm throwing nymphs on them or even dry with nymph dropper. Any wind and I am thinking too much about casting technique. For gills that might be OK to you, but the fiberglass rods aren't going to throw anything with size for bass very well.
