Planning on hitting the lake in the next couple of weeks in my kayak. Never fished this lake before. Not looking for any honey holes, just wondering if someone could point me in the right direction to start out on. Big lake and unable to cover a lot of water obviously. Looking at maps was thinking about starting at the cabins or putting in near painters hollow. I like to fish for bass. Thanks in advance for any pointers!

I wouldn't go anywhere near a ski zone, especially this coming weekend. Since the lake is so narrow, you're almost never very far from the boat traffic and waves will beat you non stop. During busy weekends, even the "no wake" zones become ski zones since no one seems to care. There are lots of smaller coves where you can get out of the traffic for a few hours fishing.

If your after bass I would go to the old marina plenty of good bass fishing close by. The rip rap and docks can be good for bass right at the old marina or you can go in the colvert by beeham Rd and fish that bay plenty of good bass fishing in that area that is kayak distance
