I, have a 44Mag and a 45-70 Henry. Henry does not recomemd shooting Leverlotion ammo because of a loading problem. Has any one shot leverlotion ammo out of there Henry's, if so how did it shoot? Thank you
i have a henry .357 and the only thing it said not to load is blazer/any aluminum casing ammo. just got it for christmas so id like to think if leverevolution was a problem it would be in the manual by now.
I think its just a potential feed issue quite a few guns have with Leverevolution, not a safety issue or something they put in the manual. Some people have no problems with it.
With a tube feed magazine and larger calibers such as 45/70, sometimes the spring loaded brass tube doesn’t slide down over the casings easily. You may have to rotate it as you push it down and lock it in place.
that is one of hornady selling points for the LEVERevolution. its safe to use in tubular mags, if they jam, they got a problem. i know it's the best shooting factory ammo ive shot out of my encore hunter 45/70 bergara barrel. it also has the most kick
I picked up a Henry in 44 mag last fall and had no issues with the Leverevolution going through it. I also some Razorbacks through it without issue. The Leverevolution grouped nicely with open sights.
