So excited!!! We are looking at a house in the Warren, Ohio area tomorrow.
The move from Wheeling, WV will be a tough one, but to be 10 minutes from Skeeter?
Oh baby!! A dream come true!!
Congrats! I understand your excitement. I just moved to a house on the Portage Lakes this past October and am super happy to finally have good fishing available right in my backyard (in my case literally).
I now live right down the road from the lakes too.... Only problem is I only walleye fish and now still drive my boat an hour away minimum lol Def wrong kind of lake for me.
I hope you find what you want and it all works out for you.
4 years ago (2 years before retiring) I moved 10 minutes from EF lake, it's great. If I feel like going fishing for a few hours after dinner it's no big deal. Since we're so close to the lake my wife will often join me since it's not an all day journey.
Thanks everyone.
Sadly the house didn't work out, way too small. My Traverse wouldn't even fit in the garage, toilets sat 7" up off the floor...never seen anything like it. the sewer pipe was sealed with
Foam you spray from a can...and 2" sewer pipe?...And a new roof soon. Too much for this ole fart....lol. i want to fish!!!
Maybe Tom(aka "ezbite") who lives in the Mosquito area could help in your search? He's pretty busy hunting, fishing(locally, and L Erie), frog gigging, posting his amateur photos and videos but might have some leads for you? Good guy! Wouldn't hurt to PM him.(He's the only one I know in that area.
FWIW I wouldn't consider buying a house in Trumbull County that has a septic system. It can be an absolute nightmare to deal with the county's health department. The county pretty much fails every system they inspect. Just giving you a heads up.
I was given the heads up about the septic systems last year.
I do not want to mess with that at all. I am retired and don't need any more stress....lol
Thanks doegirl!
Terry have you though about a little farther south of mosquito. Pm me if you want info on Akron Canton Massillon areas I can let you know the areas to avoid!
TClark, if I where you, I'd look in the Champion area, plenty of smaller to medium sized homes and closer to Mosquito... Taxes may be a bit higher because of the school? Good luck
call my daughter, she is a full time realitor ,and can show/sell houses any where, you,ll make a list of must have,s and she,ll check the computer,s new listings every day then e mail them to you pics and info.most houses she been selling don,t last a week on the market. e mail me then she can talk to you.
