I have some time to fish this week and I was wondering whether I should fish in a pond or the Scioto river. I fish for bass and I want to know where they would most likely be active considering the weather. Or should I just give up till it gets warmer.
That's when the floodplain below the dam gets, well, flooded. As I've said in other threads, sticks and such wash up against trees and form what looks like beaver dams. These act like filters that catch floating trash.
Other trash like plastic bags that aren't buoyant will snag in branches, especially on the little island below the dam.

Yeah and with the Main St. and 5th Ave. dams out, they can get all the way up to Dodgridge and the dam at the Dublin Rd. water plant. I don't know if Dodridge ever goes underwater like that but if it does then the other lowheads upstream probably would, too. It would be a straight shot to Delaware.
Rivers are no doubt high, I’m heading to a honey hole tomorrow the 24th hopefully to get a few LM
