It has been a slow year for me. 99% of my time was invested at Berlin as I have pretty much dedicated myself to this body of water in order to better understand her patterns and memorize its contours. Only got a handful of eyes this year but at least I got my PB Pike this season so not a complete fail.

Friday I spent a few hours on Berlin. Wanted to give it one last shot before I drain the fuel tank & lines and stow the motors in my basement.

This trip I only worked blades of several colors, both casting and jigging. The crappie were relentless (ok, only 3 but they all came within 5 minutes) by the train trestle.

The last fish of the season came on my final stop at a spot that has produced reliably over the years. Not a record size fish, but hey even a thimble of water in a desert is refreshing.

It's a 17 inch LM Bass caught on a. 1/8th Oz white Heddon vertical jigging. I was in 23 fow. I started on the bottom and stepped up 1 full crank each pulse. He hit 3 cranks worth (about 3 feet) off the bottom.

Cannot wait until next spring! I have a plan that I was wanting to try this year but things didn't work out due to a delayed opening (hint hint).

I just hope we have a good solid freeze for an extended length of time in order to reduce the abundance of forage.

You must be too young. ;) 1 of the 5 greatest movies of all time, IMO.

No, I grew up in the 70's so Animal House was definitely part of my generation but I'll go with the too young statement lol!

Smokey and the Bandit (same era) would certainly be on that list of 5, if not on the top of it. :)
