Went to CC yesterday moved one fish on a jr cowgirl. was mid 30's in timber. Water clarity wasnt too bad about 16 inches of vis.

Anyone have any luck fishing main lake structure with Rubber out there? I know they can be found in timber and coves but my gut tells me the really big girls exist on main lake reefs and points.

CC is a crapshoot in my mind. There seems to be a couple strong year classes prevalent that are in that mid 30 and below category, some days it seems it's all you run into no matter how you fish. I do think as a whole you will contact larger fish over deeper water and main lake but will contact fewer fish, potentially still only landing a low 30's for a fair amount of work put in. I prefer to mix it up, either try to find a pattern for the day and stick to it hoping I'll run into a big girl or say hey let's go big and sling heavy baits around.

Good luck out there.

Hit Caesar today (didn't make it out last weekend). Caught one small (26") fish early on a crankbait and then missed one around 11 am on a Musky Mania spinner.

Really nice, cool morning but was burning up by 2. Of course, boat traffic gets worse as the day wears on.

Back at it tomorrow with my wife.

I was on the water at 6 and this one boat was on the water by 9. That and a mom on a jetski with one kid behind her towing another on a tube just outside the stumps. Some folks really don't have a clue about what is below them.

Heading out shortly and should be off the water about the time the church-going folks arrive.
