  1. My wife saw this in our 1 1/4 acre pond. She tried to get close and take a picture. She said that it made a huge swirl and went under. It never came back up. The head looks like a goose and the tail looks like a cat fish. We have some huge cats. Resized_20170412_193600.jpeg

  2. Maybe one of the huge catfish had duck for dinner...

Either that or a ' black crappie'.

  4. That's kind of what we thought. I didn't know if they could eat a duck.

Those Black Crappie are pretty slick characters. That there's a known fact around these parts.

    Aren't those Sherman's boots?

  8. :D
I seriously doubt that...Sherman would whoop a fish like that till its momma begged for mercy. ;)

Chopper, maybe it was Sherman going after that big ol cat for supper? Show your wife that pic of him going whole hog on that cat. He was filleting it from the inside out!

That was a very rare Shermyfish. They can walk on their feet upside down. Weird little creatures many know little about. We're learning more and more each day. Fastwater seems to be the resident expert which seems a tad troubling. But, what do I know?

What were we talking about anyway?

But the periscope is upsidedown? Wait a minute, not for a Shermyfish!

  18. the shermyfish is well known in the tropical rain forest but hasn't been seen in the us for many yrs. just maybe its making a comeback. its almost as rare as big foot. and has been seen walking upright through the forest in the rain forest. it catches its pray by standing in the water and when the little fish comes up to peck on its legs it just sucks them up, lol.

now back on point. we've hijacked this thread long enough.
