There's a bunch out there, I have one I picked up in 87 with my first boat. It still works fine. Mine has deep cycle, regular trickle charge and starting capabilities. It wasn't that expensive. More than likely I picked it up out of Cabelas. Schumacher makes a good charger but there's not a lot to them. There's probably other good manufacturer's out there.

Have you looked into onboard chargers? Minn Kota makes some of the best, and you can literally plug them in when you're done fishing and not worry about it until you unplug it for your next trip. They cost a little more than a portable, but they mount inside the boat, are weather proof for the most part and generally trouble free.
