Would anyone want to go on a ice trip to Cincinnati come February ? I know there football teams a joke, the Reds are a laughing stock of blunders, but on the right day, you can catch a lot of mud sucking, bottom feeders in the 513 baby ! Not many people ice fishing in Cincinnati, but those of us who do, you know, the REAL MEN of the world, who enjoy the great sport of ice fishing and aren't pretenders, we'll succeed. So if anybody's up for it, let me know. Free delousing of your belongs after leaving.

I'm with Salmonid I live just outside of Cincinnati and ice fish every year I can. Might have to drive 30 minutes up the road but can usually find something. Definitely have to pick your days and well last year I only got out 3 times. Fingers crossed for a better year!

I’m predicting that the Big O freezes like back in 77-78….might need a bigger auger to jig up blues from the ice!!!!!!

Realistically, we should have plenty of opportunities this year 1-2hrs north of Cincinnati. I just hope that the ice makes it down south of Dayton…. Acton or Cowan…..The crappie in both would be a blast on the ice, and would offer the possibility of a bonus saugeye. I would also like to try Rush Run.

Either way, I’m down, as soon as there is safe ice within a 2hr drive, I will be fishing every Sunday…after work every Wednesday, and I have several vacation days set aside for local ice “emergencies”.

I’m putting the final touches on the shanty and new line on the ice rods this weekend……It will not be much longer!
