Fellow OGF Members,
Myself and 4 other guys are heading to Dale Hollow 9/9-9/11
I am looking for some advice regarding Trolling for Walleye, Bass and Trout.
We are rigged with everything on a Fully Outfitted Lund including Downriggers if needed.
I have fished Dale Hollow several times casting for Bass with only a few fish per trip to show for.
I was hoping that a fellow OGF Fisherman could assist us on this trip with some suggestions.
We are staying at Willow Grove Resort and Marina just over the TN line.
Thanks feel free to PM me

I've only had success there a few times for walleyes and we fished at night with suspending jerk baits , stick baits and spinner baits . Caught some bonus smallies too. Scout the area and look for weeds on flats, humps or points and target that area. During the day you can look for a change in water color if the lake is flat . We fished out of Star Point . I've only caught a few walleye in my life there trolling and it was with a green and orange spoon with a diver set on 2 about 80 back . My buddy likes the deep diving husky jerks but I have never caught one on them . Blue color. I am by far no expert but I would say the main lake structure this time of year would be your best bet. Good luck the "HOLLOW"can be tough this time of the year.

Perfect
Thanks Guys
We booked a Charter for Day one of our trip to show us the ropes for Walleye, Smallmouth and Rainbow Fishing with Downriggers. We are going to duplicate this system the remainder of the weekend.
We will see how it goes

Sounds like you had a good trip... Wish I would have seen this thread sooner though. Dale Hollow is near my winter hangout in TN... I fish there with my "small" boat, an 18' Alumacraft deepV fish/ski outfit. Use the same setup that I used on Erie before I got the 30' Baha for the big lake... I have a 6'mast system and pull the big boards on open water (doubles, not triples I use on Erie now). I have pulled everything from walleye, smallmouth bass, and trout with this setup on DH. sticks, spoons, braid, steel line, and truetrips, just like Erie minus the waves. When back in the bays and running near shore, I will run inline planers same as for stripers on Norris with live bait.
