I've been a st.croix fishing rod guy for a along time now!!!
But about a month ago I purchased an 13 fishing rod a 7' 2"" medium action Fast tip a And it's a dam good rod for the money, And is quickly becoming my go to rod the feel and balance is there.
1 hook setting ability are closely match 2 the price I paid for it was $128 out the door compared to my st.croix at $ 350 out the door.
3 the backbone on both rods arecomparable.
it does have a slight Edge on my st. Croix as far as making accurate cast I cannot explain it

Just be careful if you get hung up. A couple weeks ago I got hung with my Omen Black. I gave it a forceful tug like I have a thousand times with various rods in an effort to free the lure and it snapped like a twig just below the first eye. The wall thickness seemed quite thin to me but I really don't know for sure. Just know it can happen.

I've used their ice reels with great success. Overseas company, but the quality seems good for the price. American gear is getting harder to find and even harder to justify. I still pay the premium, but I really have all the gear I need. I really need to use what I have more often. The more I buy, the more I work to pay for it, the less I actually have time to use it. I'd rather do more with what I have. 13 fish is definitely listenening tomthe sportsman and delivering good gear at a solid price.
