These are the mounts of the special fish and game I collected through the past 65 years. Each has it's own story that I can recall in detail every time I look at them. My favorite is the largemouth on the plain rectangular board which was caught on a flyrod in East Harbor when I was 12 years old (1951). My farther was more excited than me had it mounted.
Just a wooden art piece that my daughter gave me fifteen years ago.
Many people have asked a similar question. I am planning to give away most of my mounts to the Park System and a few friends that have ask .
Got it right here in Medina County 30 years ago. They were quite common back then but habit destruction has taken it's toll and they are now confined to one particular area. I could provide a guided hunt for a mere $450 dawn to dusk. No guarantee but I know the escape routes they use and the odds are in you favor. Most will be dropping their antlers soon so decision whether to book a hunt should be made quickly.
If you would shoot one without antlers. I know a taxidermist that could supply a small rack and you would never know it wasn't a pure bred Jack.
$200 will hold a date for you and there will be a $100 discount if your kill does not have antlers.
Deposits are non refundable. Contact me via PM(conversation)
Wonderful collection Shortdrift! I hope you don't start donating your mounts anytime soon.
I think you need to add to the collection. Did not see a stringer of plump perch in there.
Reason for no perch is I never caught enough 13 plus inch in one day to have that mount. My best has been a single 15.25" but a single perch mount doesn't look right to me as they are a schooling fish. Same holds true for crappie.
