I would love to get a new spinning rod for walleye/sauger/saugeye...in an affordable range.
What do you use and what would recommend?

I watch lots of videos on Youtube and most all look like light action rods??

I use usually a 7' rod in either medium or medium heavy power w/fast action.I prefer mh when working bigger joshys, bigger bladebaits and when jerk baiting w/spinning gear. Flinging jigs and smaller joshys lighter blade baits, etc.,I'll use the medium. As for price,"affordable" to you means different than it does to others, both ways.So an actual dollar range would be most helpful before anyone starts firing out suggestions. 'eyes are caught on everything from gLoomis to Cherrywoods and all in between. All about your budget.

I've fished all over the US and Canada for walleye/sauger/saugeye and have 54 different rods but without hesitation I'd reccomend the 7' medium action St. Croix Legend Tourament for casting or the 5'9" fof jigging. I have many G Lomis rods but the the cost is very high(250-400) and since they were bought out the quality is way down and the warranty is horrible.
