I bought a pair of Cabela's brand neoprene waders with attached felt-bottom boots, and my question is, Can I walk in these from the car to a fishing spot without damaging the felt, or should I carry them over the terrain and put them on at the water's edge? Thanks in advance for the help!!!
That's for sure they do. You will have 4 inches of snow on them in 10 feet of walking in fresh 2 inch snow. The build up then makes it hard to walk and you have to stop and kick them against the ground to knock the snow off. When I am in snow I usually wear a pair of strap on "Gladiator spike soles" they do not pick up the snow. You could also put a pair of rubber overshoes over them . I don't find that they help all that much on slippery rocks, some but not a lot.
Yes u can. Just remember they suck when used on mud/slush.
