I got the foreman 500 and picked up a battery at o'rileys auto parts last fall.I took it in myself to make sure the size and batter connectors lined up just like the previous battery.. I had to put the acid in myself but no biggie.Still fired right up after a 4 month dry spell.
I'm not sure if the better ones last longer.I figure they're like a lawnmower batteries and lucky to get 2 seasons out of them.
I get about 2-3 years out of the battery on my polaris ranger. I think it's running the winch for the plow in the winter that's killing them. I just go to Auto Zone and pick up another. My Polaris sportsman was the same way. I am considering a battery tender this winter to see if it makes a difference.

Harris batt out of New Castle R pretty tough too beat. X-tra plates and thicker bases make for good batt. Use to b Interstate then Turbo Start but they have cheapened them up. Don't know if you can get one for an atv but worth a shot for the money.
I went over to Wally World and they had a sale on their tractor batteries for 20 to 30 bucks. I made a small battery box out of a mini crate for 2.00 and fastened it to my back rack with large zips. Put foam padding along the side and wired the cables up and started it up. I can take the battery out in 30 seconds. Got tired of pulling and replacing batteries all the time. ******* but it works on my older ride Patent Pending . Lol
Battery tender for the last 6 years on my Sportsman and works well. I keep tenders on my MC battery and Lawn mower as well.
