Default 2013 hatch

Talked to some Ohio State students working the capture sights. (All those black flags on the reefs.) one of them told me they are showing more eggs and baby fish( his words) than they have seen for years. So I am hoping that this bad weather may be good for the hatch. If that's true maybe there is a silver lining.

This year is reminding me of the 2003 spring.. The Maumee was a high mess most of that spring, there was also a giant chemical spill that year. Hope its a good hatch, we need it.

Like the sound of that! Remember though, it's not how many eggs now, its how many survive to one year old fish next spring. Lets hope they all survive the next months growth process
