We apologize for the downtime this evening (1/11). The forums were unavailable from approximately 8:50PM to 11:30PM due to emergency maint. We are back up and running normally now. Thank you for your understanding.

Well sorry folks, we appreciate your patience. Nobody was more worried than me, that I can tell you for certain. The good news is that our systems worked, and we are back to normal.

I'm just curious about the circumstances of the emergency.......Does anybody care to elaborate?!?!?

Sure, I'll elaborate. The 'emergency' was regarding the database errors that kicked off our repsonse notification process. In short, vbulletin encountered an error with database thread count. Our proactive notification resulted in fixing the problem sooner rather than later, which resulted in less downtime.
