nice cooler. looks like some of them may be white perch. I think the easiest way to tell is to look under the lower jaw - white perch have some fluorescent purple there.

I'm pretty sure they were white bass I could be wrong or are they called white perch. They didn't have any fluorescent purple on them also was using agitator with white rooster tail

Those are white bass.
Awesome game fish but not highly regarded in the big pond since everyone is targeting the high quality flash of perch and walleye.
Large schools are chasing minnows in hot summer months along the Lake Erie shores in 15' of water. Absolutely the easiest to catch game fish when feeding, with a jig or spoon or whatever thrown at them. Those agitators with a small jig are popular also. Feeding frenzy can be seen on the surface as the emerald shiners become airborne followed by a splash and sometimes big splashes and hundreds of them all at once.
I like to catch them using a fly rod and it is not a challenge. Lots of them around the Rocky River to Avon Point areas where I fish a lot in the summer evenings. Lots of big ones the past few times I fished them. One can catch 100 fish in 2 hrs.
Great tasting fish smoked.
