we boated up between shawnee marina and portsmouth west of portsmouth,,caught a couple smaller channel catfish,,,couldnt believe how smooth and shallow it was,,,,13 to 14 ft most of it,,,,we didnt find any sharp drops or really deep holes,,the deepest spot was 27 feet but very gradual down and back up,but that was the first time we fished that part of the river,,,there was alot less boats and barges than the cincy area which was kinda nice,,,i was always told that part of the river has a good flathead population.
