FYI
I cleaned out a garage about 2 years ago.
Found a STACK of ALL the original lake topo maps,,, from Canton to KINZU!
I just couldn't believe all the bridges, pipes, stone piles etc. marked on these topo's. They HAD to be made before the dams were built.
I've been looking for someone who can copy large documents and put them on/ in say a PPS file.
THEN I'LL SHARE THEM WITH ALL MY OGF FRIENDS.
Kinda like passing around a CD, RIGHT?

Does Navionics also have detailed river maps? Or just lakes?

I don't have the app... but based on what little bit of it i've seen, I relive it uses the same maps that are on the chips for the big units. If so, mine has maps of the Ohio river, kanawa river in wva., and the muskingum river. Those are the only rivers i've had it on. The depth contours for the rivers aren't as precise as the lakes due to constant changes, but it's pretty close.

Navionics app is exactly the same as the chip. No depth contours shown on rivers. You can click on a river section to show popup info. For example: the muskigum/ohio river confluence shows 12-30'. That's pretty close.

+1 on Navionics. I Just loaded it on my iPhone and it is pretty awesome, especially for only $10. I have used it twice now and it has routes, markers, speed, tracker... I was going to get a handheld for $130 until I saw this post. You cant lose.
