Thumbs up Somerset Wood Pellets $3.59/bag at Menards

For those pellet stove owners out there...Menards put their pellets on sale for $3.59/bag or $179.50/ton.

I bought a ton of Somersets at the Menards in Massilon on Sunday. They had around 50-60 tons of Somersets left when I left there on Sunday afternoon.

I know the Menards in Sandusky had both Somersets and some other brand available. I am not sure of their stock levels as I was not at that location.

For those of you who know pellets, you know Somersets are a good brand.

Happy heating.

The Massillon store has 4 less tons in stock now !

Got my heat for next winter !

Thanks

Fish

PS: if you haven't tried them, Somerset pellets are great heat producers......they come from kiln dried oak sawdust from Somersets own flooring mill.

I only burn somerset in my harman. I tried another brand that we got at lowes at the end of the season when the somersets ran out and there was a noticeable difference in heat output and way cleaner burn on the somersets. I buy them at tractor supply every year and they are always 180 a ton, not on sale.

Just out of curiosity, where does one store 4 tons of wooden pellets without getting them wet?

I have a couple older stainless semi trailers (former refrigeration boxes) at my shop that work quite well. They'll easily outlive me & are awesome dry storage boxes for pellets & other things. I buy pellets ahead when they're at a good price & pull out a pallet at a time as I need them at home. My winter heat for the season runs around $700 using pellets in a 2100 sq' home.
