I figured it would be on the rise. I'm fine with that though. Just happy to finally get some meat in the freezer.

nicely done. I was starting to doubt the existence of saugeye below the dam at O'shay until I finally caught a 16" 'eye last spring. Good to see that you can still be very successful down there!

Default how bad is this fall?

When these are the first nice fish I have seen come out of somewhere other than a shallow lake. Heck, last year these were the norm from many places... I am absolutely beside myself trying to locate them.
Last night I hammered an area for awhile and only snagged fish in current. Then when I went to a calm location, did not even sniff a bite. At this point in the season, we are normally looking for the 25-28 inch fish.. and all the reports I have been receiving have 1 or 2 fish around 20.
I even think last year we were out ice fishing. The combination of all the events either man made or dealing with nature have completely changed my fishing patterns.
Hard to even get motivated to fish. Good luck

Yea these must be some of the remnant populations left over from years past, I swear they stopped stocking the Scioto with Saugeye years ago...

Nice Eye's

Must be nice! How many jigs/twisters did you lose?

That is awesome. I've been watching and waiting for the right time to return to Oshay. I missed it by a few days. It's a mess again. Very jealous.
