Default Xbox 360 LIVE - How to disable purchases?!

Knew this would happen, so I blame no one but me...turns out, my 9 yo has been rackin up charges on my CC buying stuff with Xbox Live...can't find anywhere on the net telling me how to disable purchases through the console, so hoping someone knows or can point me in the right direction before I throw the thing through the window

Log on to Xbox live.

Go to accounts, edit payment information, click remove for the card you wish to take off.

Yeah looks like the only way I can do it, is buy a live membership (card) at a store, cancel mine (which I think I'll be forced to eat the $60 i just paid) and create a new account using that card. No link back to my CC.

If you can get pron on those things, then the kinect will have a new meaning

I wish I wouldn't have got a Xbox. What a waste of money. Could've got a lot of fishing tackle with that

Troy...like my mother said..."all of your crap will come back to haunt you when you have kids". If that's true, I'm in for a ROUGH time.

RH...that was the thought I had after I had calmed down

Yeah if your registered a card to your live account they won't let you remove it. If its a debit card just have the bank issue you a new one and kill the one linked to your xbox account. Then just use the upgrade card in to future.

Shakedown, you just need to call them and let them know the situation and then upload an account using one of the prepaid cards.

The only way is to call 18004myxbox. Tell them to remove it. Good luck though as you will speak to someone who can barely speak english.

Real easy way to "disable more purchases", tell your son that if he orders anything else you are going to "throw it thru the window"!
