Default Bald Eagle sighting at Nimisila!!

Went to nimisila on monday and saw a bald eagle! could hardly believe it. It was in a tree on the east side of the lake and a falcon or a hawk (not a redtail) kept swooping down at it. Pretty cool!

I see that eagle just about everytime i go to nimi but the osphrey's chase it away every time. Birds and seagulls always chase it but it leaves when the osphreys come. It often perches on the high tension towers at the north end.

I've seen them at West Branch, Ladue, and downtown Aurora. I was getting gas and saw a big bird circling high - when he was opposite me, I could see the white head and tail. There is a nest in Twinsburg, in Tinkerscreek SP.

Red Tail Hawk location ......cell phone tower between Home Depot, Ryan's, Wal-Mart on Arlington Road......large limbs for nest material.....perhaps it cruises the lake behind Wal-Mart.....no idea how many young-uns in the nest. Fun to see and watch if in area.....

There are a pair of red shouldered hawks in my neighborhood. They sit on one of my big oak trees on occasion. A bald eagle would be exceptionally cool to see tho!
