Default need advice please

I will be talking to my dad this weekend, and we may be planning to meet somewhere soon. I live in Cincinnati and he lives in East Palestine, so it would probably be somewhere in the middle.

Can anyone give me advice on a good place to meet, assuming we might be able to get some fishing in? Maybe a decent river or lake where we could target some good fish? I am not familiar with the areas at all, so any help would be great. Thanks.

Salt Fork Lake seems the most promising at first glance. We can camp there as well. Does anyone have any good words on that place, or tips on where some good spots are? It would be a one time visit for me and family, so you can PM me if you feel the information is sensitive. Thanks.

it may not be in the exact middle, but assuming your going to be shore fishing, the bottom of the dam at O"Shaughnessy is great for crappie, bass, and channel catfish. This time of year you'll catch mostly catfish down there, what I use for catfish is a slip float set to about 4 feet, and fish a whole night-crawler or shrimp on a hook connected by a steel leader. good luck.

I guess what do you consider the middle... Buckeye Lake is bout thirty minutes or so east of Columbus off of 70. Guess it also depends on what route you and your dad will driving..
