Default St Claire?

Making a quick 2 day trip up to St Claire for smallies and musky. Leaving in 2 hours. Will be launching at Crocker access. (mile roads area) Any tips or general areas would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks

Although you can always catch some smallmouth shallow all year long, the vast majority of them have moved offshore. Go out from Crocker into 15-18 fow and look for weed clumps. Fish tubes and dropshots. Also mile roads area in 15-16 fow casting crankbaits.

Muskies are good in Anchor Bay. Launch next to Selfrdge Air Base at the end of M-59. Anywhere in 7-9 fow cast or troll cranks, bucktails, and choppers. Grass Island area always hold some fish. Find the cabbage weed clumps.

Good luck.
