Default Apple Valley

My grandparents have a house at Apple Valley, located in Know Co., just outside of Mt. Vernon. I'm looking to do some bass and cat fishing up there the next couple weekends. I was just looking for any tips regarding the best time of the day to fish, areas, and lures, etc. Anything would help, thanks!

Docks with access to deep water. Any grass you can locate as well. Watch out for the jet skis and pleasure boats, pretty active.

Nice cat! Yeah when I was out there for a weekend I had some good hit by the resevoir wall but I had been fishing so long without any action I was asleep and missed the bite, I also got some action around the small island in north end of the lake by the marina, catfishing has been good off my grandparents dock, also in the north end by the marina. Are you referring to the left side of Davis Beach fishing from the shore, or by boat?

Thanks for the input.

that cat was caught from shore..dang pole jammed too had to run back 40yds to drag it to shore lol.. we didn't have much luck from boat there but i hear its a good spot.. but unless ur out early it can get crowded.. is there decent spot to shore fish around the reservoir? im unfortunately stuck mainly to land.

Yes there are great spots to fish the reservoir from land, I was in a boat, but the area I was getting bites in could be reached from shore, either by the road on some rocks, or by the nearby boat launch.
