is there a lake shinner shortage right now?

dont want to waste a trip if no one has them

for my own knowlegde since this year is the most i have ever perch fished

the full moon=no shiners is this normal for every full moon all year

yes ever since the state stopped letting bait stores buy the emeralds from other states like PA and NY. The shiners don't rise to the lights when a full moon, so less or none are caught.

Brothers,

Key thing here, shiners are great no doubt. But when you get golden shiners, there is a little trick that helps. Pinch behind the dorsal fine slightly until a little meat produces. This releases gland juice. They will do just about as well as shiners. One of the positive of these are they they are heartier and will last a lot longer than shiners.
