Default Fly bass noob

Can anyone tell me the reason why ever since I started fly fishing a couple weeks ago I have no desire to use my brand new St. Croix casting rod and reel ??? MAYBE b/c I'm catching fish for once ! NOt that i never caught fish before, but it seems like these BUGS are getting the job done at a much better rate. here's one fish I caught today . I only had 15 minutes before work but I managed 3 bass . It always sucks when you have to leave and your catching fish. Im going to try to hit the HOga tomorrow morning .

It happens. The only time I pick up my spinning gear is if I'm kayaking the inland lakes and even then sometime a fly rod ends up making the trip. I've been thinking about selling off a couple of nice spin combos, They are too nice to just let sit around.

I feel the same way. Just started this year. I took my spin rod with me the first few times but it hasn't left the garage since early June.
