Default Alum 7-31

spent most the day on alum getting sunburnt .. few fish on cranks early, lost the biggest muskie i've ever had hooked about 30 feet from the boat, he jumped and threw the crank at me. then around 11 switched to crawlers and the bite turned on. My dad managed a 21" 4.1 lb smallmouth on a crawler. went until we were running outta trolling motor battery around 3pm and stopped for some lunch.. went swimming and then tossed the cranks back in and started trolling again first pass i knock a 34" muskie on the same crank as earlier, got the ski back in healthy and then finished out the day with a few more keeper eyes and crappies
overall
22 eyes.. 5 kept from 15-17"
1 34" muskie
6 keeper crappie
10+ cats(i dont really keep track)
2 largemouth
6 smallmouth
2 4" perch(on a 3" crankbait. lol)
15+ bluegills(wouldnt leave us alone)
had a blast for the heat of summer and 90* temps

the highlight of the day was a patoon boat full of people trying to get me to give them the muskie, offering me money for it, and then proceed to use profane language towards me as i told them all muskies are CPR... lol ///people

Good mixed bag.
Shad raps? Was you using bottom bouncers of the worm harnesses?

very few fish on shad raps yesterday, mostly bass cranks like bandits, bombers and strike king.. fish mostly in the 16_20 ft range... bottom bouncers @ 1oz and 1.5 oz with the harnesses

Caught some old fishing line and a little smallie last night. Went out from about 8:00 to midnight. Marked very few fish. I must still be in too shallow. Was around 10-12 fow. I figured I was too deep though with water temps being right around 82 deg. I thought maybe they'd be in the shallows foraging with the cooler water. Hmm. How fast were you pulling the harnesses? I'm probably headed back up Thursday night or Friday morning.

No carp? Nice outing! I must be a bad luck charm, and your dad a good luck charm? I casted the one area for a few on break through a twister but i got to hot.
How did the kicker work out? Or did you get it situated. what speed was the ticket?

93Stratos - Sounds like a great day on the water - That Smallie your dad caught looks very healthy and I am sure the muski must have been a great fight.

You're a lucky man. I'd give anything to be able to fish with my dad one more time. Cherish that.
