Default Fly fishing Lake Erie

The waves were higher this evening, with 3-4's as the wind shifted to NE when i got out to troll for skinny walleye.
So I whipped out the fly rod, after noticing surface activity with the seagulls near Rocky River.
Was fun to catch a bunch of them.

Yeah it was a blast but just reached out to a black fly i tied like the one on the pic,. Some of the fish were regurgitating emerald shiners like the ones they sell you at the marina for perch fishing. I don't think it matters what is presented the action was fast and furious.

Always look for the gulls having a party!
You can count on some white bass action when the gulls are grouped up.
