Smile Kayaking for eyes

Hi, I recently got a sot kayak and I am looking to trying it on Erie. I was wondering if i can get any advice on trolling or casting for eyes. I have searched the forums and found a few posts on trolling reef runners and other crank baits with yaks.

I don't have much experience summer fishing Erie but i do have quite a few seasons of successful ice fishing under my belt and I'd like to try the lake in the warmer months. Thanks for any help you can give.

troll thunder sticks/reef runners and worm harnesses if possible, i do not know how your little boat is setup. But I will agree again with EZ, make sure you have that flag because these boat going out and coming in are not small and it will be probably hard to see you.

Sounds cool to try a yak on Erie!! If I didn't live 4 hrs away I'd be tryin it!! I think I'd try some bottom bouncers with worm harnesses.. I would think it would get tiring keeping up speed for reef runners.. Good luck and let us know how you do!

I will for sure do that. I have worm harnesses, eerie deeries, a bunch of trolling crank baits. I think I'm ready to make the trip. Perhaps this Sunday if th weather looks good. Definitely out of my element but worth it.
