Buckeye this afternoon
I am going to be hitting Buckeye this afternoon till just (after sundown I hope) everything I am reading on the s-eyes is in the 18 to 20 foot of water lol. Not real sure how that is going to relate to buckeye but at the moment im pretty determined to find them. I have mud, rock, sand, wood, and lily pads just no 18 to 20 foot of water to fish. Nice breeze out of the south it felt like this morning so there should be a decent drift out around the bog and the tow path for starters along with the long wall on wiper island as I call it. I was hoping to hear a report from Dale that he got into some slabs or eyes there this week hint hint.

I'm taking the kids out there today, to fish from shore. Probably soon actually. I just hope I can get something on their hooks today. Maybe we'll see you out there

do you guys ever catch any of those wipers on bass or saugeye baits. ive heard of guys using chicken livers for them. i have never caught any there on any type of crankbait, minnies, vibees, roadrunners, or any other type of bass or eye bait.

Jeff ,sorry to hear of your luck.I am beginning to think we boaters have seen the last of the action till next spring. We may have better luck leaving the boats at home and hitting the shore lines from here on.Seen it happen before on Buckeye, was hoping after the spring we had that fall was going to be hot,not shaping up as so at this point.

I am headed out there today with my son for an afternoon of fishing. To be honest, I could care less if we catch anything, I am just looking forward to spending sometime with the little guy.
Since I started my new job I haven't had much free time.
He knows we're going and is walking in circles in anticipation.

I went to the north shore yesterday with my little ones for about 1.5 hours. Wind was definitely in the wrong direction for trying to do anything effectively there. My son did pick up a little smallmouth on a minnow and bobber, which made his day. We were playing more than fishing

there were a ton of boats on buckeye today sunday 11/08, the eye and crappie fishing was not as good as saturday in the hard winds, awesome day to be out though. ended the day with only 3 eyes and about 10 crappie and 5 fat bluegill. eyes caught slow reeling vibees and crappie and gills caught on minnows right beside of docks. talked with a guy in a lund that was fishing the same hole as us on saturday, he also said it was slow for him today as well.
