Default So with the good weather this weekend...

I'm thinking of going out to fish Lake Milton, but i have no idea what to bring with me in terms of tackle and bait.

Im looking primarily for Bass and Eye's but if there is no bite i have no problem going right after pan fish.

Any suggestions? Spots i should hit?

Thanks guys, appreciate it.

Brad

I was just Looking at the central ohio forum and I would say look for the stumps/wood and throw jigs. Also one of the many benefits of this site is to look at the other regional areas forums and see what they are doing it on in there lakes and rivers,it gives you a starting point for your lake also. Good luck and welcome to the best fishing site on the net.

This time last year we fished under the 76 bridge bouncing silver spoons off the bottom a couple of feet and letting it drift back down. Watch the line cause if it jerks sideways or pops tight, swing for the fence. Kim caught something that took our boat upstream between the two bridges before it straightened the hook. She did that two days in a row. We never did see what they were but we sure did get a kick out of the whole ride.
You should be able to see thousands of minnows all around those pillings. Get under the minnows and you should find bass or crappie or something looking for dinner. Good luck and have fun.

Gone Fishing!

With this weather I am really hoping my wife doesn't go into labor tonight, I already have my gear in the car and my boots by the door for tomorrow morning fishing with my Dad.

I love being a father, I have a 2 1/2 year old little fisherman in the family already, I just want one more good day on the water before I become a father again and my fishing season ends for '09.

Take ya some vibees and look for humps and points. And don't forget, shallow. I'd say a bit deeper in the morning (12' to 16') and then shallow later in the day and I mean 7-8' or less, up to and including pratically on shore!!
