Default Update

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Police were working to identify a woman whose body was discovered floating in the Scioto River on Tuesday afternoon.

The body was found in the water near the Greenlawn Dam, located on the city's south side, at about 12:30 p.m.

A bicyclist spotted the body and flagged down firefighters who later removed it from the water, 10TV's Maureen Kocot reported.

Homicide detectives said there were no obvious signs of trauma to the woman's body, and it did not appear that she had been in the water for more than a couple of days.

It doesn't say that it was the dam that caused the death....but I agree, they do suck.
