Usually cant go wrong with a ugly stick for a good priced dependable rod that will fish multiple speceis... Spinning or baitcasting? and hard to narrow a good one down for ya without knowing how ya fish. My three favorite spinning rods im useing now are a shimano congress 6'6 med light, st croix premeir 6'6 med light, and a st croix tiumph 7 ' med light....

You can get a ugly stick for under 40 bucks i think. and the three i use range from 60 to 120 dollars and are all spinning rods.

and they stand behind there product! if ya got the hundred bucks to drop id get the premier. Good all around size would be 7' med or med. light. for the reel you have.

thats good to hear, never buying berkley rods again customer service was terrible and they wont issue a warranty. had that rod for all of three weeks. also never ordering a rod offline again too cuz i suspect that ups damaged the pole because the box was broken upon delivery. too bad i wasnt home when it was delivered or i would have thrown a fit.

Bummer man that sucks! I usually buy my rods in person unless its a rod i already have. I like to be able to feel the rod and actually put the reel on it I plan on useing.
LOL and are motto when shipping stuff at work ups is if it can break it will.

If you are on a budget, can't beat an Ugly Stick.

Sorry dude just went downstairs and dug through my 30 rods and found it. Its actually not congress, dont know where i got that from. Heres what it is. I actually just picked it up and thought man i LOVE the way this rod feels. Had a guy at fishermens warehouse in columbus sell it to me with a okuma spinning reel. Didnt like the reel but to this day still love the rod..

Its a shimano convergence cvs-66m its medium power and fast action... LOL i was way off originally
