Default Lake Champlain July 6-14

Looks like my buddy can't make the trip. Staying at Henrys Sportsman Cottages on the Vermont side near Alburg. Driving to Watertown, NY Friday and into camp on Saturday. Fishing for largemouth out of a 21 foot Triton. Costs would be 1/2 the trip. Roughly $700 for cottage, gas and food. I usually fish morning and evenings and play golf two or three afternoons. 2br cottage. Great fishing. Been going there for years. Nice laid back fishing/golf trip. If you'd be interested, drop me an email at shune@att.net. I'm in Marietta. Steve

If you go to the fishing trophies pictures on the site, I'm the one on the top row, far right. That one was 8.5 lbs. I've pretty well got the largemouth spots down after years of chasing them up there and have a secret spinner bait rig that works really great up there. Lots of pike, largemouth, smallmouth, perch and bowfin etc. The owner chases smallies, but I usually don't venture too much out into the open water looking for the humps. That area is behind the Alburgh toungue and out of the wind most of the time. Pretty sheltered fishing. Champlain can get rough out on the open part of the lake on a bad day. Cabin is about $800 for the week, + $50 dock and electric fee. Gas would be 2 to 3 tanks a piece + half one tank of gas for the boat. 1/2 the food would be in the $100 range. Golf is low $30's for 18. The owner usually takes us up into Canada one afternoon for golf. We are only a few miles from the Canada border driving or by boat.

They had a requst for that week and I let the cabin go. I'll try another week in late August and see if one of the buddies can make it that week.
