It's when the boat hits the water,or when the lines goes out!!! There is an opportunity to fish ALL year long, provided you are inclined to face a bit of adversity..... You will find that OGF,will tune you in,to all of them..... Stay up on your area,& type of fishing you're into,& you will be in the KNOW of where to go,& what is biting... Good to have you as a new resident & member,,,be sure to post your fishing success,& or questions.. Walleye taste real good!!! ----->>>>>sonar<<<<<-----

So do crappie, but I think they call them "specks" down South. Almost as good as Redfish just not quite as big.

So, you're from Louisiana. Well, someone here will have to introduce you to ice fishing. Brrrrrrrrr! Brisk and bracing! Nothing like facing a little frostbite just to catch a couple fish. But we have a whole Spring, Summer and Fall to get through with lots of good fishing.

Don't know if you hunt deer, but if you do, you've moved to a great place for that as well.

Oh, one more thing. In case you're an LSU fan, well, you might want to consider switching allegiances. The SEC really doesn't play well in these parts. GO BUCKEYES!

just kidding!

I am originally from medina. The closest store is the rod makers shop in strongsville. Land big fish is also a good store and also close to portage lakes. Fin feather fur is another very good store but farther away. As for local shore fishing there is hinckley lake, ledge lake, lake medina, and Spencer lake. Be warned, these lakes receive a lot of pressure so it may be difficult to catch bass. You can access medina lake from rt. 18 on the south side of the lake
