Saturday in Galena

My dad and I went out to Galena Saturday morning about 6:30am expecting rain. And came prepared with ponchos and hoodys. Using slip bobbers and minnows. He caught the 1st crappie within 10-20 mins. After that I landed 3 catfish in a row. TRUE STORY NO LIE!!! All with in 5mins. Then it was on from there. Largest crappie was 13inches. The rest from 9-10" in all we landed 23, one i give to an Cambodia lady who tried to body me out of my spot LMAO!!! She was mad i was throwing the lil guys back in the water! All of our work was done within the first 2 hours. We left about 12 once the wind and rain picked up.

So far this year, Hoover is the lake that just keeps on giving. I don't recall a better March/April for sure!

Thank you Sir! I been searching for a site like this for a while. Catching crappies like crazy at Hoover. It has been a good year so far! Hope the summer is even better!

Nice haul dude!! Had to be great to enjoy all that with your pops. Hope you educated that female on the crappie laws.

I was yelling out 9"s i think she understood but tried to play me off. I was on the bank. back side of the boardwalk. Heard they were not even all the way ready yet.
