    Hey Bryan,
I really haven't fished the BWCA a whole lot other than around the Fall Lake area when I used to live in Ely for the season. I do know if you fish areas with moving water that is where you are going to find fish and big fish as well. Basswood has some of the biggest bass I have ever seen. If I were planning a trip up there I would look into staying on Basswood somewhere. Another place I really liked in the BWCA is the Kawishiwi River system. You can get there from Farm Lake or starting at Lake 1 and work your way down. It is not like a typical river, more like a skinny lake. The basswood river would be a good trip, good moving water and lots of bays up in Crooked Lake. I think that would be your best bet. Go in through the Mudro entry or the Basswood Falls entry. Go late May to early June. Mike
