Water temp was still cold at 46 degrees. East wind Trolled lead in the deep water. Marked lots of fish but it was a slow day. Only got a few with the biggest at 18".

Hit the river today and was able to coax 7 steelies into biting. The highlight was a beautiful 29" male(pic below) that put up a great fight. Also had a chrome hen put on an awesome aerial display.

Took a moment to watch some redd fisherman. Had a good laugh watching one in particular chasing a hooked fish down river and repeatedly trying to net it with a little trout net...

First trip with the boat. The fog was the worst I have been in. Never would have launched without a GPS. The fishing wasn't fast and furious but I did catch just about every species that swim in the lake, bass, bluegill, crappie, pumpkinseed, perch and walleye. Nothing big but still was fun. Vib Es in 16-21fow around wood. No wind and the sun felt great as soon as the fog burned off. Did some exploring and marked some good looking spots for the future. Hopefully a good start to a great season!...

Had some time to kill so I decided to hit a trib. Visibility was about 12". Found some fish, mostly in the tailouts, and went 6 for 10. No monsters with the biggest being 26". Pink and chartruese were both working. I did help a guy land and release a nice 31" buck that was just about as perfect looking as they come. Beautiful day to be on the water Here is a pic of nice chromer.
