Boat repair and pond fishing

Posted 03-06-2009 at 09:44 PM by Bassnpro1

Today I continued the work on my old bass boat. I am working on replacing all the carpet and it turned out to be a bigger chore than I anticipated. Recarpeting all the doors and hatches was a pain. Today we managed to get the rest of the carpet down. I am working on it in order to sell. I don't like to sell anything that is not in good to great condition and after seeing the finished product, it will be hard to part with it. It is now a great looking boat and I don't know why I didn't do this when I fished out of it.

After getting the work done on the boat, I hit up a small farm pond with my brother. He managed to catch a bass on a floating rapala. I got skunked. The wind made it really difficult to fish and feeling bites was next to impossible. This pond is located next to a big field and the wind really kicks up good. But it was good to see the first open water fish of the year and hopefully I can find some time between all of my schoolwork to get some fishing in. Some of these professors must understand time management becuase all of my classes piled up all the work at the end of the quarter. In two weeks it will all be over and I will be heading down to Falcon Lake for the trip of a lifetime. I can't wait to post the results and photos from that trip.
